Not sure how to stage your home for sale? Perfect. That’s why we’re here.
Assuming you’re already working with a Realtor (the Buy Sell Love Chicago team) and that we’ve already talked about the list price, when you’d like it on the market, etc then next comes the very important task of staging and prepping your home to be listed.
First, as soon as you’ve decided to sell your home, start decluttering and getting your home ready to be put on the market. Download our staging checklist or call us and we’ll send our designer to walk through your home and create a personalized staging checklist based on your home.
Second, hire a handyman (if you aren’t handy) to fix any outstanding repairs Make sure everything is in working order and that your furnace, AC, etc. have been checked and cleaned by a professional.
Third, regrout and recaulk your showers. Nothing turns a buyer off more than a dirty shower or tub.
Fourth, read additional staging tips from HGTV by clicking here
Fifth, once you’ve completely deluttered take your smart phone or camera and walk around your home taking photos like the professional photographer will do. Our clients are often shocked when they do this that they, in fact, have to declutter a lot more than originally anticipated.
Lastly, once the above is done call us so we can have my professional photographer and videographer out to take photos and get your listing on the MLS.
