MEET THE TEAM
We are a talented group of former small business owners who all have a passion for helping people find their dream homes. Founded by Shay Hata, a Dartmouth grad and former owner of a successful small business in 2012, the team specializes in the sale of new and existing homes in the Chicagoland area and are consistently ranked as one of the top teams in the area, helping over 150 families per year buy and sell homes resulting in over $75M in annual sales. As the team grew, David and Lauren joined as Shay's co-team leaders so we could continue to successfully serve our clients with the top notch customer service and personal attention our clients had come to expect (and frankly, deserve) from the Buy Sell Love Chicago Team.

Leveraging our experiences as successful small business owners, we are known for outstanding client service, 24/7 availability, high tech marketing techniques, personal touches and as skilled negotiators with our client’s best interests at heart. We believe strongly that it is not only our duty to represent our clients to the best of our ability, but also to educate them throughout every step of the process armed with top notch information and market insight, so that our clients make the best decisions possible. We are honest, sometimes telling clients things they might not want to hear, hard working and extremely knowledgeable about the real estate industry. Because of the team's strong nationwide reputation, Shay is a sought after speaker around the country on how to deliver quality customer service experiences.
WE USE OUR PAST SUCCESSES TO HELP OUR CLIENTS
We all have strong business backgrounds which we use to help our clients not only find the best home for their needs, but get the best price possible for it. Prior to real estate Shay oversaw the marketing and public relations campaigns for Fortune 500 companies in New York City before opening a children’s education company in Minneapolis, MN which she eventually sold to foreign investors before entering real estate. Shay particularly loves the negotiating aspect of real estate which is why she is a graduate of Harvard's Negotiation Institute, where she further honed her negotiation skills on behalf of our clients. She is also an expert in renovations, particularly of old properties with environmental issues such as asbestos, lead based paint, and mold. David has an incredibly strong business background, having graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in economics. He is the team's pricing expert; no one can price a property better than him with his complicated graphs and spreadsheets. He is also incredibly knowledgeable about construction and inspection issues. Lauren is our suburban expert, having grown up in a well known real estate family in the western suburbs. Lauren has lived in the Chicagoland area for over 30 years so they know every square inch of the Chicagoland area backwards and forwards and are great at helping clients find exactly the right area for their needs.
WE BELIEVE IN GIVING BACK
As a team, we are firm believers in giving back and are particularly passionate about animal rescue (many of us own rescue dogs) and public education as we are all the product of strong public education programs. We volunteer with several animal rescue organizations and donate a portion of each commission to local animal rescue groups and local schools on behalf of ours clients. Currently we donate to One Tail at a Time unless our client has a favorite charity they would like me to donate to instead. We are also members of Realtors to the Rescue, which rescues animals from abandoned or foreclosed buildings and supports local rescues and shelter groups financially.
